The first essential to good stitching is a clean cut-off. Keep the knives sharp and see that the Cutting Tube is in contact with the Cutting Knife.
This is a rectangular plate having its (our cutting edges. By the change of three hole at the position of one edge: One Cutting Knife can be used twelve times. So it has a Iong life.
The having particularly only one cutting edges made re-grindable. Care must be taken when grinding to see that the hole is the foremost point.
SETTING THE CUT OFF
After adjustment of cutting edge the Cutting Tube should be replaced such that it contacts with the cutting knife. Then clamp up.
Make sure that contact is secured and also that it is not so tight as to interfere with the free movement of the cutting knife under the action of cut-off slide.
The path of the wire is between the two strips and third hole of wire guide spring, then under ’two roller fitted with head and over the Roller fitted with slider with adjusting nut. After that under the Feeder roller and over the Gripper Block then in the mouth of Cutting Tube.
Care must be taken to push forward the end of the wire, only just to protrude beyond the mouth of the Cutting Tube. If it is pushed too forward, buckling may occur due to the end of the wire arriving at the Loop Bar before this is in the position to receive it.
SETTING FOR THICKNESS
According to the thickness of the job; the supply of wire can be adjusted from Feed Adjusting Screw. If short supply is needed then tight the adjusting screw.
If job is thick then loose the adjusting screw. Make sure that the Cutting Knife should not touch with the Former Driver when screw is to be tightened, and should not touch to the Cutter Slide when screw is to be loosed.
Thickness between former driver and Clinches Ram can be adjusted from Eccentric Adjuster by the graduation mark indicated on the Arm.
